We had severe weather in the forecast for the evening and night hours, and mother nature didn’t disappoint! Showers and some strong severe storms moved into the area between 6-8pm and they lasted past midnight producing hail up to baseball size in a few spots along with high winds and heavy flooding rains across parts of DuPage and southern Cook Counties.  Most areas had average hail reports of ½ up to 1.75 inches but there were some larger hail reports as well.
