Marlene and Dennis: My wife and I had the pleasure of having our flat roof replaced by Smart Roofing (847-797-0404) and their staff and crew in 2021. My wife and I are not related to anyone at Smart Roofing. This is an objective review. Mike, Smart roof scheduler, suggested the best insulation for the flat roof in order to stop the heat from escaping through the roof and to insulate the room below. Mike took his time to suggest and explain all the materials and the work to be done to install and protect the flat roof. My wife and I thankfully agreed with all of Mike’s suggestions. Smart Roofing and Mike and its staff and crew performed Excellent work installing the flat roof. They installed the proper insulation and heat synced the membrane to protect it. They installed a membrane of very high quality. Their installation was Excellent. This review is being posted in November 2021 during the coldest days. My wife and I honestly state that all the suggestions and the installation by Smart Roofing and Mike and the staff and crew worked Perfectly. The room below is Excellently retaining heat. During the rain storms prior to the cold weather, the water drained off the roof like a water fall – the drainage is excellent. In addition, a few months after Smart Roofing and the staff and crew installed the flat roof Mike came back without cost to inspect and make sure the flat roof was performing Excellently and Perfectly. Do not believe others. We continue to highly recommend Smart Roofing to our neighbors and friends.

We had the BEST experience with SMART Roofing. Our new roof was installed a year ago. Mike W. did an outstanding job from scheduling our roof installation, to helping us pick the color of the shingles, coordinating the roofing crew, making sure our neighbors weren’t inconvenienced during the project, being on site regularly, and answering all our questions. Mike W. made this a GREAT experience. Mike W. is so kind, helpful, trustworthy, knowledgeable and was always available to talk to us or be on site. The roofing crew was extremely experienced, hard working, so friendly, and went out of their way to clean up everything each night. The crew even made sure our neighbors’ driveways and lawns were clean and free from any debris. We highly recommend SMART Roofing, and especially, Mike W. We are so happy with our new roof. We used Smart Roofing to replace our roof and repair some other damage to the roof structure. They replaced the asphalt roof and plywood decking on the entire house and garage and did a fantastic job. Pete was knowledgeable about the project, understanding our needs, and quick to respond to any questions we had about the process. He also handled communication to our insurance to make sure proper forms were filled out to ensure our coverage and repair was correct.

The crew that replaced the roof was fast and thorough and helped resolve any surprise issues that popped up during the project. They did a great job at mitigating any debris around the house by setting up a defined path for waste removal and doing several magnetic sweeps around the house at the end of the job.

The contract provided by Smart Roofing was clear and easily understood, scope of work was well defined, and completion documentation and warranty information was promptly sent after final payment. I’ve recommended this company to my neighbors, and they commented about how nice the new roof looks and how professional the crew was when installing it.

We’ve used Smart Roofing on two instances for a roof replacement and a full siding replacement on our house. For both, the planning and estimate process was very detailed and honest, and the work was done conscientiously. They were transparent about unexpected issues, and I definitely got the impression that their top priority was to get the job done right (rather than just quickly). It’s been 5 years since our roof was installed, and 1 year since the siding, and we’re extremely happy with how everything is holding up. I would recommend these guys to friends or family with no hesitation.

We met Pete as he was replacing roofs on two of our neighbors’ houses. They had storm & hail damage. We asked him to inspect ours and sure enough, we also had damage. Pete worked with the insurance adjusters and we wound up with a new roof completely covered by insurance.

From the beginning, Pete was pleasant and professional. He was extremely helpful and patient as he brought shingle samples. Owning a mansard roof made the selection process more difficult, but Pete went the extra mile. He nailed various samples on our roof so we could get a better picture of the end result.

Pete’s crew of 5-6 men were efficient and hardworking. They came promptly every morning and worked continuously. They replaced rotten wood, recapped metal on the windows, and laid the shingles skillfully and meticulously. They carefully cleaned our property of construction debris before leaving.

Pete was always available to us to answer questions and make sure that the project was going smoothly. He and his men cared about quality workmanship and our satisfaction. We are very satisfied and appreciative for a job well done!

By the way, did we mention that Pete is a nice guy? It was a true pleasure to work with him!!

Our experience with Smart Roofing was exceptional from start to finish. We had gotten 4 proposals for the complete tear-off that needed to be done on our roof. Pete and his Smart Roofing team are truly amazing!! From the time the insurance adjuster did their assessment, all the way through to the completion of the roof and siding project…the Smart Roofing team were true professionals!

Great company to work with. My fiancée and I used Smart Roofing during our home inspection a couple months ago. The house we purchased has a concrete tile roof and we wanted to be confident there were no pre-existing concerns.

Mike from Smart Roofing stopped by in under a day’s notice and completed the inspection. Along the way, he provided valuable insight on the roof and what we should expect as new homeowners with a tile roof.
